The Mission
Protect Our Protectors is dedicated to countering the expansion of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) political power in New York by building permanent political infrastructure before elections begin. We identify competitive legislative districts, develop credible candidates through appropriate legal entities, and organize voters year-round.
Our work combines political intelligence, public education, local organizing, and lawful independent expenditures. We operate with strict legal compliance, transparent governance, and measurable goals. Our mission is to defend public safety, strengthen New York’s institutions, and build a durable political alternative capable of winning elections and developing future leaders.
THE IMMINENT THREAT
The immediate danger is that DSA is building the political power required to move its program forward piece by piece:
• Win low-turnout primaries in districts where the primary effectively decides the election.
• Replace established legislators with disciplined DSA-backed candidates.
• Use a growing legislative bloc to influence budgets, policing, housing, taxation and business regulation.
• Recruit candidates and build permanent neighborhood organizations before opponents enter the field.
